Aaliyah Holford (They/She/He)
Writer / Interviewer
Aaliyah Holford, a sophomore at Classical High is currently a social advocate, writer, and poet as well as an interviewer for "The Purple Review". Throughout their life thus far, she has written skits, short stories, poems, screenplays, and songs, and has even had her work published in a book when she was only eleven! Writing comes with the ability to let your creativity shine which Holford always manages to do with their pieces such as touching upon topics of mental health as well as social issues surrounding different communities. Their goal as a writer and interviewer is to be able to give people a voice and to let them know that they are not alone in their journey in life along with knowing that people are valid within their identities and who they are as a person.

Angel Garcia (he/him)
Writer
Angel Garcia is a sophomore at Classical High School. He is a member of the Classical Newspaper and has recently participated in the national French Contest winning the Rhode Island Gold. Angel has an interest in what makes Classical tick and has joined to explore the many different places and people that make up the Rhode Island high school community as a journal writer. He is a student of merit and is interested in the many facets of academia, hoping for the Classical Review to be an integral part of his journey.
